You want to make an impact; to do something, to be something. You want to change something or create something, upset something or renew something. You want to be an expert or a prodigy, a natural or a “savant.”
You want to be remarkable.
But…instead… you’re just an “average joe” living an average life.
Here’s the thing, though. I’m convinced that we all have something remarkable within us that is just itching to get out. Sure, we’re not all gonna be rockstars, all stars or superstars. We’re not gonna walk the red carpet, dine with presidents, head up multi-national companies or compete in the Olympics. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be pretty darn incredible in our own way and our own lives.
So I’m on a journey to figure out how to marry the two – remarkable and average – to become remarkably average. Not in the condescending ‘how-can-you-get-any-more average’ way but in an uplifting ‘wow-that’s-kinda-neat average’ way. And this blog is going to be my way of chronicling that journey. Who knows if I’ll ever make it, that’s not really the point. The point is to try and to enjoy the journey along the way.
And I’d love for you to join me.
